Wenge (pronounced WEN-gay or WHEN-gay) is a dark, exotic hardwood from Central Africa, primarily harvested from the tree Millettia laurentii.
Appearance
- Very dark brown, often nearly black
- Distinctive coarse grain with lighter brown streaks
- Can resemble ebony from a distance but shows more visible grain texture
