The Replacement Blade for Panel Gauge is 1.125" long x .250" wide x .050" thick and features a finger nail grind. The 1095 spring steel blades are heat and cryo treated to a rockwell 58-60 to help retain a keen edge.
These blades are designed specifically for use with The Hamilton Panel Gauge.
Everything available from Hamilton tools is amazing. I wish I could own the entire catalog. The cutter I bought came sharpened, honed and ready for immediate use.
I love all marking tools made by Hamilton. Everything is very well thought. The blades are nicely rounded making the angle of attack shallower, hence the marking process is a lot less "bumpy" compared to other traditional style gauges. They hold a good edge and are easy to resharpen.
